Rev. Deborah Tyler

'Pastor Deborah'

Interim Pastor

My ministry life has been rich with experience over thirty years. Youth ministry, Faith formation for all ages and my love – Confirmation, led to Seminary and then my first call as Associate Pastor and ordination. I’ve served two churches here in Wisconsin, first as Solo Pastor and then, a year ago, I accepted a call as Interim of a lovely congregation in rural Wisconsin. I love the “now and not yet” of Interim ministry. We are together “in-the-meantime,” looking back at how we got here and looking forward to what God is calling us into. The future is exciting and scary at the same time, so it’s good to walk the road together with God. I am excited to make this move to join you all on this journey!

I grew up with my family and Chaplain dad. He served for twenty years as an Army Chaplain, and we had a grand time traveling the United States and Europe. Somehow, we settled in Washington state after his retirement. My brother Mark and his partner, Linda, my cousins Barb and Bill, and my daughter, Emma, her partner Boone, and their three amazing children live in Bellingham. I am Nana, sometimes BananaNana to Clover, Fox, and Hawk! My first born, Leah and her partner, Greg, live in Eugene. My son, Wil, lives in Wisconsin with his partner, Rachel.
